Fermion has launched a renovation project at its Hanko production site to strengthen its API manufacturing capabilities. The initiative focuses on transforming Unit1 into more modern production unit, supporting Fermion’s long-term commitment to quality, scalability, and global supply reliability.

The renovation will convert currently unused space in Unit 1 into a fully equipped manufacturing area. The facility will be designed to support key manufacturing steps such as material charging, synthesis, filtering and drying, ensuring high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

The total investment will be implemented over the period 2025–2028. The new production line is expected to be operational during H1/2028.

This investment supports Fermion’s broader strategy to:

· Increase production capacity to meet rising global demand for APIs.

· Enhance flexibility in manufacturing both existing and future pharmaceutical products.

· Enable potential contract manufacturing opportunities.

“By modernizing the old factory section, we will practically get new modern production facilities in Hanko. The increase in reactor and dryer capacity is a significant increase for Fermion.”

— Ari Koskela, Head of Technical Operations

By upgrading Unit 1, Fermion aims to strengthen its manufacturing network and ensure a resilient supply chain for its partners and customers worldwide.
