Kilo facility
Fermion’s bench scale unit (kilo scale laboratory) is part of the Espoo site next to the R&D laboratories. It is a small cGMP API facility with process rooms, tank farm, warehouse building and QC laboratory. The two most recent expansions of the unit are the Bench scale 3 unit in 2016 and the chemical warehouse building in 2021. The bench scale unit is equipped with a high containment technology for powder handling and Honeywell system for plant monitoring and control. The bench scale technical capabilities include
- 10 to 30 L reactors
- Glass, glass lined and Hastelloy
- 30 bar and 200 deg. C
- Honeywell automatization
- split valves and isolators
- OEB 1-5 (containment > 0,2 µg/m3)
